Just wanted to let everyone know that this recipe also works on mirrors and as a spot cleaner on carpets and upholstery.

This is so strange because I was just thinking the other day that there has to be something out there better than windex. Windex always leaves streaks and especially on mirrors. Does this recipe work for mirrors too OR just windows?

For windows I had always used some hot water and some dish soap. I use two towels. One to clean with and one to wipe up with and that seemed to work much better than windex. I had not tried that method on mirrors though.

Is it bad that when we have a bottle of vinegar in the house I don't think twice of drinking out of the bottle?

The Romans used to drink it as they believed it quenched thirst better than water.

Our windows here could actually do with a good cleaning, maybe I'll lay off the bottle and use some to cleans the panes. Of course, if I get thirsty doing it..
